I installed it on Ubuntu and it works. I have all the libreoffice stuff on 
hold since I don't use it and don't care if it ever updates. aptitude 
handles that gracefully unlike the Ubuntu updater that pitches a fit about 
packages on hold. 

It still seems like more work than the straight cli.
