IMHO, the California rampant abusive misuse of the Amber Alert Signs
(for example, to tell us, while we're driving, not to water our lawns)
has inured me to anything that they say (e.g., they tell us that the 
road could be wet when it's pouring rain ouside, and they tell us
that if we have an accident, then we should get out of the road, etc.)

NOTE: Those are not jokes. Those are real messages on the signs that we
paid for to be Amber Alert or Emergency Alert signs!

I haven't checked how many of those Amber Alerts turn out to be bogus
though so it would be nice to find out how many resulted in an arrest
and conviction - where I doubt more than a couple of a percent get to 
that level which, if true, would mean they're almost completely bogus).

Luckily, you can turn off those, IMHO, idiotic Amber Alerts 
on both iOS & Android phones...
