Even the best kids can get into situations where it would be a good thing for a parent to know where they are. While it's not as dangerous as the media and others who benefit from the fears of the citizenry would have us believe, it's not as safe now as it was when we were kids. Remember the stupid bitch who turned in the "free range" kids and the cops didn't notify the parents for hours? Kids are certainly not safe from do-gooding assholes and power-mad gestapo-wannabes. My daughter thought it would be a good idea to chip kids the day they were born. HER daughter thought that was a rotten idea. I sided with the daughter, but a cell phone isn't an implant. -- Cheers, Bev ******************************************* "I've learned that you can keep puking long after you think you're finished." -- SL
