Just so everyone benefits from the differences between us, almost everyone
on this ng uses the Google Play Store app to install apps off the Google
Play repo, but some of us (maybe only one of us) would never do that.

The one (or more?) who installs the exact same apps from the exact same
repo will be affected by the new restrictions Google put in place that I
spoke of.

If you do everything that Google marketing tells you to do, you'll be fine.

Yes, We discussed this. Cop and all that.

I don't lock my car, I keep my garage door open, and all my tools are
sprinkled about the house, and I've never known anyone to be robbed.

Once, a homeless person walked up the street but someone called the cops on
him, and I don't know what happened but they gave him a ride somewhere.

That was five years or so ago, so the point is some people need locks.
Others do not.

It really depends on each of our individual threat models, I guess.

If I park the car in San Francisco, I not only lock it, but I make sure
there's nothing showing in the back set (if so, I put it in the trunk).

So both the storage model (having enough of it to hide stuff) and the lock
model (dealing with a pin or biometrics a billion times a day) is all
dependent on your threat model.

Is dealing with a screen lock a billion times a day worth it, or not?
 a. At home, no.
 b. In San Francisco, likely yes.

The test is simple...

If you paid up front for a car with enough storage to handle all your
future needs, then you fell into the trap MARKETING cleverly laid for you.

A simpler way, with metrics, to put that binary decision tree is...

If your phone has more than 64GB of storage then you fell into that trap
which MARKETING rather cleverly laid for you without you even knowing it.

Always remember, I'm logical to the core.
I see through marketing when most people fall for every trick in the book.
