On that topic, I'd bet nobody but maybe Andy Burns on this newsgroup is

It used to be, for example, that using Aurora to scrape the Google Play
repository was fine, as the app is *exactly* the same app either way.
 a. Same app
 b. Same hash
 c. Same everything

But wait... there's more.

When you install an app via Aurora, unless you set some switches, it gets:
 Installer = Aurora Store <com.aurora.store>
 Actual installer = Aurora Store <com.aurora.store>

But when you install the exact same app (same hash!) via Google Play store:
 Installer = Google Play Store <com.android.vending>
 Actual installer = Google Play Store <com.android.vending>

Up until recently nobody cared what the internal metadata said about who
installed an app, but Google is making it harder and harder every day for
that installer to NOT be com.android.vending (which is the Google Play
Store app).

Luckily, for now, there are workarounds, but it's a never ending battle
as the last thing Google wants it to NOT be just like Apple is in terms of
locking down the device so that everything has to come from the App Store.

It's a topic of its own how to defeat Google's new sideloading protections.

What sites do you like to get your news? 

I get my news on Windows via a web browser that is more than two feet tall,
but I don't like clutter and things like news.google.com won't run on my PC 
(because of the vpn and other privacy stuff).

I also require my news to be balanced, just like I am, which means Fox news
is out of the question, as is MSNBC, or Al Jazeira for that matter.

I get news from, for example, the 'lite' sites, such as:
 <https://lite.cnn.com/>
 <https://text.npr.org/>
 <https://www.nbcnews.com/>
 <https://abcnews.com/International>
 <https://time.com/section/world/>
 etc.

I get my world news overseas from one site per country, e.g., being from
Germany myself, I get most of my related news from DW, but there are others
 <https://www.dw.com/en/top-stories/s-9097> Germany
 <https://www.euronews.com/news/international> EU
 <https://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/> UPI
 <https://www.bbc.com/news/world> BBC
 etc.

What lite sites do you prefer to get your news from?
Note the "lite" sites work great on Android but I read 'em on Windows.
