Well, if you'd be so kind as to install Windows-Super-Telemetry-2019 ...
apparently the answer is "yes" (or a resounding "maybe").

Least the few news articles that do reach my desk about WSL2.0 seem to
indicate they're looking at practically a full-featured VM approach.
