Frankly, I don't want to waste time customizing my desktop; I want it to work (nearly) perfectly "right out of the box". A computer to me is a tool and I don't care much about eye candy. The first thing I did on Windows was disable that goofy Aero-gloss thing. Some reviews make it sound like basic apps like e-mail are part of the desktop which I don't agree with. Aren't the main functions of a desktop application launching, application switching, and maybe drag-and-drop as an option for file movement? - Kerry
