You're probably referring to Thomas Lahn as these sources, but he'd never said, that JavaScript doesn't exist, but that there is neither javascript nor Javascript. Note the capitalization. As ECMAScript is a case-sensitive language, and `JavaScript' and `javascript' designate different identifiers, one can easily agree with Thomas.
