According to MSDN 
<http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms536939.aspx>, as of MSIE 4 
the onkeypress event fires and can be canceled for the following keys:
  * Letters: A - Z (uppercase and lowercase)
  * Numerals: 0 - 9
  * Symbols: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ - + = < [ ] { } , . / ? \ | ' ` " ~
  * System: ESC, SPACEBAR, *ENTER*

So as of MSIE 4+ the onkeypress event doesn't fire for the TAB and 
BACKSPACE keys, unlike Firefox for instance. That's why I prefer 
filtering the whole input value attribute instead of checking each key 
being pressed by the user.
