This was not a question about what you found of John, but if John accepts 
your ablative "mea culpa".

John speaks his languages very well, also Dutch.

The British did enough themselves to counter the German conquests of WWII 
and WWI. Thank you.

And for all the good work the transponders did, though they entered too 
late, that does not mean one should not be critical of your friends.
Being critical of ones enemies is easier.
