Interesting. The same neither compiles in C# nor in C++ because the 
evaluation of compile time constants is done at compile time and there 
is, of course, no reasonable result of this expression.

Java evaluates some compile time constants immediately too. E.g. final 
static values are taken at compile time so changing their values has no 
effect if they are referenced from existing byte code.
