I would not write it like that. At least like this:

        try (Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(db_connect_string, db_userid, db_password);
             Statement stmt = conn.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY)){
            try (ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT table_name FROM information_schema.tables")) {
                System.out.println(stmt.getClass());
                rs.last();
                System.out.println(rs.getRow());
            }
            try (ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT name from sys.columns")) {
                rs.last();
                System.out.println(rs.getRow());
            }
        } catch (SQLException e) {
            e.printStackTrace();
        }
    }

But I do not like this kind of code, so I would rewrite it to:
    public static void main(final String[] args) {
        try (Connection conn      = DriverManager.getConnection(db_connect_string, db_userid, db_password);
             Statement stmtTable  = conn.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);

             Statement stmtColumn = conn.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE, ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
             ResultSet rsColumn   = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT name from sys.columns")){
            System.out.println(stmtTable.getClass());
            rsTable.last();
            System.out.println(rsTable.getRow());
            rsColumn.last();
            System.out.println(rsColumn.getRow());

And I do not mind to get rid of those Statements.
