So for your assembler we are talking about
MOV BX,AX ; In intel intel syntax.
Why even mention

and

has the same effect, but two different opcodes:

(32 bits not 64). (The 66's in Alex's code means he is on 64 bits).
Apparently you have choosen the second one.
It is interesting whether the first one is disassembled in your system
correctly, because it is a correct opcode that you don't generate
yourself, ever.
