No, it is not better to use the word "function", which has an
unambiguous meaning in C, with a meaning different from the way the
C standard defines it, when posting in a newsgroup that discusses
the language defined by that standard.  And you typically *don't*
make it clear from context.  You just use words with your own
meanings and don't even mention any possible ambiguity.

You're not going to change your mind.  My tentative plan from now on
is not to argue with you, but merely to point out when you misuse
technical terms -- and not respond to anything else you say in a
post where you do so.
