I'm not happy w/ the relationship between the CUPS on linux as opposed to the proprietary Win7 drivers for the Canon MP 160 black ink Pixma. The options for using the Canon w/ variable printed page sizes is much better on the Win and the only default 'word processor' on the Win was WordPad which doesn't do labels. I'm installing LibreOffice 7.4.3 to Win7 so as to be able to use its label maker on the Canon instead of trying to use linux. I blame the 'problem' on Canon not CUPS; Canon makes no linux drivers for the MP 160. Sometimes it is easier to just use Win for something rather than solve the linux compatibility problem properly. -- Mike Easter
