Just this past week I heard 2 such stories from a computer-challenged individual. She bought a newer smart TV because a service person told her that her current model wouldn't get the streaming service she wanted. Then after her purchase of a newer TV she learned from a different service person that it would. But, she isn't unhappy because she put the old one into a bedroom and she likes the newer model better for her main TV. She also bought a newer chromebook because her current working one wouldn't update automatically any more. She didn't discard the old one, but I'm sure it will just get 'parked' somewhere unused. Personally I would put GalliumOS on it. For your linux interest, both of the above TVs are Samsung, which uses Tizen as its OS. Tizen is linux based; and Samsung has been using Tizen since 2015. > over 200 million people in 197 countries around the world are using > Tizen OS through their Samsung smart TVs. -- Mike Easter
