When Trump stops the funding we are getting a "refund" of sorts because our
tax dollars will no longer be funding this lefty garbage.
And that's the point.
Not how much.
Not what programs are fairly balanced or lean one way or the other.
In this case, one bad apple spoils the bunch.

The smart people are leaving NPR because they realize it is biased left.
Like this senior NPR editor for example.
<https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/npr-editor-uri-berliner-resigns-after-accusing-outlet-liberal-bias-rcna148258>
If NPR was truly unbiased, this person wouldn't be penalized for writing an
essay for the Free Press.

You'll get no such refund.

> And that's the point.

Oh, I understand your alleged 'principle' on this, but if the amount of
money was actually significant to you personally, you would have taken
up the offer to be reimbursed.

The real point is that there's invariably many things that a government
or institution does which one may not 100.00% agree with, but to try to
be petulant about that is very childish.

Gosh, you've found **one** malcontent - - and they resigned after they
were suspended for violating their terms of employment.

They were penalized because they violated their employment contract's
terms .. and as someone was just preaching about "one bad apple spoils
the bunch", a violation is a violation is a violation, so Berliner had
utterly no excuse for his decision to violate his contract.

Of course I would take the offer, however what's more important to me is
where my tax money is being spent.

Promoting one side or the other when a government funded, no matter how small,
cause is supposed to be independent is wrong.
I don't want my tax dollars going to pay for promoting Sesame Street in some
middle eastern country either.

Nope.
Unlike you leftists, I don't tow the Trump line nor the republican line for
that matter.
I agree with some of what he is doing and disagree with others.

Leftists rarely admit that the other side is making progress nor do they admit when
their side is screwing things up.
The last 4 years of the left covering for Biden is proof positive of that.
Hell, Kamala was installed and coroneted and you guys just accepted it.
The media lied to you for 4+ years and you accepted it.
etc.

Yea like not asking if he can expose NPR for what it really is without
asking for permission first.
and this guy was a senior editor.

Oh there are plenty more.

The same thing is happening at WAPO and NYT as well.

See above.
He let the cat out of the bag and NPR didn't like it.
so much for fair and unbiased journalism.

BTW he received a firestorm of support on social media.

She does on occasion disagree on minor side issues but on all his
major points, she's right there with him.

From Bill Maher:

Musk said that the biggest military waste was on obsolete weapons.
Invoking, "in this age of drones", Musk complains the F-35 is
obsolete and the program should be canceled.

Meanwhile ... Trump says we've building a new fighter, the "F-47" and

What matters is what his work contract says. That's why they were able
to discipline him prior to him quitting.

There's always disagreements; the NYT lost McNeil a few years ago over a
stupidly trumped up bias claim from an entitled college kid who asked
for the unvarnished truth because they then got the unvarnished truth.

No change. He violated his contract terms. I've similarly worked jobs
where any outside employment were subject to employer scrutiny/approval.

Except that if it really was that bad, Berliner could have indemnified
himself if other malcontents quit at the same time too. That didn't
happen, which undermines his claimed complaint: he was the outlier.

Which was on Twitter, so what percentage of that 'support' was actually
from fake/troll accounts? 50%? 80%? Higher?

Yea, but only enforced when the person exposes the scam going on.
In this case the far left lean of NPR.

Speaking of exposing, why is Jeffery Toobin still employed?
Why, because CNN doesn't give a hoot about him masturbating and getting
caught on camera during a Zoom call.

See how it works?

It is? How? Because 17th-18th century Classical Music is "woke"?
Frankly, I don't see how that would even be possible, since that genre
was almost exclusively written by European white guys.

It ended because Tom died.

But now try to name specific NPR national broadcast shows that you want
to claim is so highly offensively partisan to you, and with receipts
from independent sources that agree, provide detail why.

Bill Maher's merely an entertainer, just like Fox News, who is willing
to be less than truthful in order to get good ratings. Try an actually
independent source who's got objective data to back them up, not
soundbytes.

You're the future of fire
You're the witness of war

And the father of law

For the chance to shake your hand
To give you thanks for all the sufferin' you command
