For basic X selections, you cat left-click the start and right-click
the end, and it's the same as dragging a left-click paint.

xinput gives this for my mouse:

Evdev Drag Lock Buttons (271):  0

Setting it to 1 screwed things up and didn't work as expected.
Had to unplug/replug mouse to get things back to normal.
I'll try to figure out how it is supposed to work.
