Hadn't noticed that. He was an Asperger then, not a scientist. Without much practice, they'd have difficulty in subduing the fear based reactions now that there's almost no emotional parts to share the stress with. You're seeing their fear based reaction. Aspergers must practice social behavior a lot more than ordinary humans to get a handle on it. Because in them, it does not come naturally. I'm in social situations half of each day, practicing. That's why I don't mind making eye contact or looking at the lens. If I don't practice that every day it becomes difficult for me to learn it back. I have experienced that during Covid lock down. I uploaded this pic of him some months back. Having a bit of extra emotional reaction in social events does not interfere with normal behavior much.
