I'm not going to quote the entirety of the message I'm replying to.
FOROT6 is the "object time" (= run time) library for Fortran version 6, which
is a FORTRAN IV ("FORTRAN 66") compiler.
With version 7, DEC went to a Fortran 77 compiler and libraries; versions 10
and 11 followed. The run times are FOROT7, FORO10, and FORO11, respectively.
Source files for versions 7 et seq. have a file type of .FOR rather than .F4
If you want to compile the ADVENT source, you will either have to find an old
release tape and install the compiler, OR you will have to update the sources
to use Fortran 77 constructs in place of the FORTRAN IV code you're looking at.
