Guess it might be given that you buy from butchers.

Maybe some meat supplier has made them an
offer to good to refuse or something price wise.

Since I only buy meat from the supermarkets except
with the chicken from Steggles themselves, its quite
likely there isnt any local variation in the meat I buy.

Weird. Not sure how that is even possible.

We do have some of those, but I don't shop there.

It is with moslems too, but they arent as strict about the detail as the
jews.

There is no need for any religious shit at all IMO but plenty clearly
disagree.

I only have electric frypans The very small one is still a bit big
for just the shank and its sauce. I do the veg differently to you,
I mostly do roast Desiree. Peel them, dip them in olive oil,
roast in the glass convection oven for about an hour at 200C

Frozen peas/corn/capsicum/onion mix in the microwave.

Thanks for that, I'll give it a go.

My local Lenards retired with the mall tried to just up his rent.
I used to eat theirs for about 70% of the non steak and non pizza
dinners but the nearest Lenards is now Albury, Yass or Canberra
and it seems a bit silly to piss all that petrol against the wall even
if I only do that a few times a year. Which I can use the train for
$2.50 a time, it would piss the entire day against the wall even if the
schedules did work for out and back in one day, and they don't.

I'm planning to try making what I used to get at Lenards. Easy
enough with some like the kievs, but I never could get the
Pastelles anything like theirs and have tried making the
Baguettes yet.

So I need to try something different now too.

Yeah, I have had that happen with some stuff, the lemon and lime
marmalade, and the tomato and chilli relish. Both times its got me
off my arse to do my own which leaves what I used to buy for dead.

They did stop having the Kitchen Collection breadmix too but I
like my own mix of a couple of the Lauke breadmixes even better
so I stick with that now.
