It is with quite a bit of their meat in NSW too, but the leg of lamb wasn’t.

Plenty disagree on that, claiming that they put the worst of the meat
on the bottom where you couldn’t see that until you got it home.

This one wasn’t butterflied, it had the bone and shank still there.

I did tell Aldi HQ that they should have baskets when
I discovered that one store had them, but got no
response except the usual automatic response.

They did apparently change to entirely
transparent packaging of the meat so you
could see the worst of it on the bottom.

I havent been game to try a second one yet,
essentially because if it is glued up, that wouldn’t
have been a one off, it would be policy.
