It took about 5 months from beginning to end here. Most of the work 
seemed to be done by contractors in plain white or rented vans, the 
original mob that laid the fibre and dug the pits had some sort of NBN 
branding on their vehicles but they were the only ones.

A lot of the pillars (but not all) were doubled in height, presumably to 
duplicate all the existing Telstra connections with similar NBN ones so 
that the customer pair just has to moved from one to the other.
