Screen sharing is fine, but doesn't offer nearly as many management
features. Pick the best tool for the job.

You only need ARD installed on the machine(s) you use to manage the rest.
It doesn't need to be installed on each client. And installing it is simple
anyway.

No thanks. It's written in Java which opens you up to even more security
vulnerabilities, and is buggy as hell in my experience. Almost any other
backup tool is better IMO.
