IME adding a different DE to an existing distro can be frustrating and time-
consuming. Unless there is a compelling reason, it's usually better to stick
with the native one.

If you are unfamiliar with KDE, Mint's version would be a reasonable
starting point as it is not heavily altered from standard. KDE has *lots* of
configuration options; you could easily spend a week playing with them.

If you are thinking of using KDE long-term, remember that Plasma 5 is main-
stream now, and is quite different from KDE 4 that Mint is using. If you
want to try Plasma 5, Kubuntu's latest release uses it.

If you eventually decide on KDE with MX-15, there will be help available at
the MX forum. Some members have been happily using that configuration for a
while.
