I'm going to give MX Xfce and/or MX KDE another shot, but Mint KDE is 
always there. No reason not to use it other than wanting to stick with 
the mepis community. There's also no pressing need for me to 
update/upgrade, but once I do I'll want to stick with it long term. 
Hence my disappointment with my attempts so far. This M11 install is, 
for me, essentially perfect, and I did very little tweaking and 
configging of the default install. So the bar for a replacement has been 
set high. I'm spoiled.
