That's a neat trick.  Never thought of mounting a single file, before.

Anyway, I tried mounting as above, which worked fine, and as
/mnt/cdrom/ of which there is a group with correct permissions and so
that also worked, finally.  Either way, all I see are two files
audio.ts and video.ts and can't seem to break either down into
editable sub files.  It was this way with the other two DVDs I
successfully copied, but they were smaller and would fit on a std
DVD5.

I think I'll jes buy some DVD9's and go that route.  My burner is
capable, but is k3b able to burn DL DVDs?
