I still don't know whether my total crypto disappearance prediction is true or not. But given that there are AI needs now, mostlikely a further factor that crypto will disappearance is that the west has other priorities now. Mostlikely all the grass root crypto infrastructure might be put to better use. For example a lot of projects are extremly vulnerable to CDN outtages. I recently wanted to download an alternative unix distribution, couldn't do it, cloudflare was down.
