Dann kaufe sie halt.

Der einzige Hersteller der nötigen "3D-XPoint"-Chips - Micron - für
Optane ist aus der Entwicklung ausgestiegen. Die Technik ist tot.

D.h. Du hast aktuell keinen Bedarf für besser Hardware, sonst würdest
einfach das kaufen, was *jetzt* verfügbar ist. Mindestens bist Du nicht
sehr pragmatisch sondern übertrieben perfektionistisch. Ich hatte mal
einen Kollegen, der so ähnlich war. Am Ende hat er fünf Jahre gewartet,
weil jedes Jahr was neues angekündigt wurde. Dann *musste* er umsteigen,
weil der bis dahin hoffnunglos veraltete PC nicht mehr sinnvoll nutzbar war.

Mein primärer Arbeits-Computer ist ein System mit X79 Chipsatz, einem
ca. 6 Jahre alten LGA-2011-Xeon mit 6 Kernen, 32 GB DDR3(!) und einer
Sammlung von SSDs mit SATA und NVME. Booten tut das Ding von NVME, die
VMs laufen ebenfalls alle auf NVME und sind alle sehr flott. Das wird
sicher noch einige Jahre gute Dienste leisten - und wenn es dann doch
mal nicht mehr reichen sollte, kommt eben die Hardware her, die es dann
gibt - egal, welche das sein wird.
