Nachdem auch Micron aus der Entwicklung ausgestiegen ist (siehe
<https://www.heise.de/news/High-End-SSDs-Micron-stellt-Entwicklung-von-3D-Xpoint-ein-5990308.html>),
muss man wohl davon ausgehen, dass diese Technologie keine Zukunft hat.

Echte Vorteile gegenüber aktuellen NVME-SSDs hat Optane nicht. Die
Geschwindigkeit ist zwar etwas höher und die Haltbarkeit auch - aber
dafür zahl man auch einen vielfachen Preis. Einfach alle paar Jahre die
vorhandenen NVME-SSDs auszutauschen ist billiger.
