i meant whatever data is stored in the journal about the file that was
removed

so the directory information contains the file data or only meta-data

do not know much about macs but i know they are chatty
.DS_Store and ._.Trashes and others i cannot remember

breadcrumbs to make sure it has a trail for some reason unknown to
me
