The idea that MS is holding desktop Linux back from doing well does not fit
the fact that ChromeOS *is* doing well.

Traditional desktop Linux has not done well... and will not until or unless
the ecosystem grows to the point where distros can compete better.

Apple rarely joins the race to the bottom... some twist that to be a sign of
failure. So be it.
