nothing is 'free'. there's clearly a benefit to comcast in pushing the
installs, otherwise they would not bother pushing it so hard, and that
benefit is norton paying them for every install. 

it's the same reason why many computers come with so much bloatware. it
subsidizes the cost of the hardware.
