AV software is a constant drain on my system, it subverts the system's
security by being installed, and many, of not all, act as
man-in-the-middle agents, intercepting all secure communications. In
addition, this is third party software that is interfering with your
mail and gives itself permission to do anything it wants, including send
private communications to its control servers (or worse, third
parties). This is not the sort of software I will *ever* run on my
computer. Especially not to defray the risk because someone else is
running shitty software.
