it's not a problem at all.

ebooks can also be read on a computer. 

apple now even provides an app to do exactly that but that's not the
only app that can read them.

like i said, poorly produced. a scan of a book is about the worst
possible way to make an ebook.

whether it's worthwhile to expend the resources to do it properly is a
separate issue. it might not be, but that doesn't make a scan magically
good. it's still crap.
