The program asked the operating system to do something with a pathname 
the OS didn't like.  The shell gives the name of the program that made 
the call, a colon, then the error that came from the O.S.

It may be that there really was a pathname too long, or it may be that 
more than one pathname was in the same set of quote marks, or a space 
between names was escaped, effectively combining the names.

There are probably the possible causes, but those are the first three 
that come to me.
