Personally I do not like only finding out about it later.
POPStar will offer me the e-mail each time it checks that
particular mailbox. Certain other e-mail software does not
do that, making it much harder to delete spam off the
server.

Sorry if I was not clear.

POPStar stops the download *temporarily* - the length of
time is configurable, I have it set to 15s - and after that
time is up, it continues to fetch the ordinarily sized
e-mail.
