How can one tell if this the case? I've had 500k e-mails fail to download
and debatch and conversely, without any observable reason, perhaps within
the same day, 2,500k e-mail will download and debatch successfully. That
is, all within the Hermes max size configuration. The problem seems to be
independent of the setting of Hermes configured max size. I just don't get
it!

That's one of the problems. For unfathomable reasons, Attacher has never
worked for me when I have tried this.
