Agreed. In fact my first C compiler was Zortech 1.0.6 which I bought
legally during the early 1990s for my Amstrad PC1512. Gads, the
memories.

FWIW, does this position alters somewhat if the software will not be
used for commercial purposes, i.e hobbyist?
