Winders will screw you 101 ways - but Linux/Unix are pretty flexible in this respect. Linux systems don't really KNOW they're running in a VM, it all seems normal to them. The possible hang-up is in how the storage is set up. I'm gonna give it a few kinds of tries next week and will post my experiences. VMs are great - but sometimes you want all your work to move into the Real World.
