I think turning off terminal cursor blink has been hated on by these
Divas for a long time, so they shove the setting into different but
increasingly deep and dark corners in every Gnome version. I'm surprised
they haven't done away with it.

But it's really hard to stop users from installing some other terminal,
especially as it seems to have become something of a vanity thing.
Seems like "everyone" is developing their own these days.
