That's the cliche, certainly - but there are definitely developers out there with Diva tendencies. The Wayland folks spring to mind; there's a level of technical aptitude required to do what they're doing, whether you agree with their decisions or not - but it's the blinkered egotism in refusing to consider anyone else's needs (until they're absolutely forced to after years of dragging their feet and insisting that what everybody wants Can't Be Done,) even as they propose to unilaterally replace an existing system, that makes them Divas :/
