It, automatically, only populate those groups into which I show
interest. Yet there are "2,085,484 KiB in 812542 files". I just checked.
I have, in the past, deleted the structure and took what it appeared to
be an hour. I don't remember its size that day, but I seem to recall a
million files - because I have set a long timeout for cleaning.

It is a reiserfs partition.

If you are interested, I can replicate the structure and delete the
replica, timing it...
