Reiserfs, however, was pretty buggy with fsck of volumes that contain
reiserfs disk images, as you might have on hand if you do any sort of
virtualization. Bugs like that I think helped kill it off quickly once
Hans "Wife Murderer" Reiser stopped working on it.

XFS was, then and might still be, the recommended Linux filesystem for
Perforce.

You can access databases from scripts, too, but there is an added amount
of friction involved.
