It is irrelevant.  No one stopped using reiserfs after Hans Reiser
committed his act.

However, X11 is only a part of the Wayland problem.

The fine(sic) folks at Freedesktop.org also want to remove
X11 support from the GTK+ toolkits.  If this happens then
the effects will be as bad as terminating X11 itself.

The same applies to the Qt toolkits although their development
is controlled by a different entity.

For a long time I have been insisting that the folks at RedHat/Freedesktop
are inimical to a free and open GNU/Linux and should be assailed
by the community.

For a long time my message has been dismissed as nonsense.

Well, now I can proudly exclaim:
