A fine OS - I run it as a server. (Desktops are all linux). But fbsd 
also uses X11, so if X11 dies, fbsd must perforce move on. Oh, and h/w 
support is a bit iffy -- I find I can't run it on a pi5, which is a 
shame as I need to upgrade my pi4.

For my own part, I understand just enough about X to do what I need; I 
don't really want to be forced onto another irrelevant learning curve. 
(As with pulse/pipe at present).
