	The rate of acceleration in falling has long been known and
set by observation of many objects falling to earth.
			32 feet per second per second.

	One other planetary bodies the rated of acceleration would be
according to the mass of the body in question.
	The so-called Law of Gravity is the name given to the knowlege
that if you drop something on the Planet Earth it will fall at 32' 
ft./second/second.

	It is not an invention nor is the speed of light an invention, but
discovery though observation and experiment.  People used to think
that the speed of light was instantaneous but that was proven false
by the earliest experimenters.

	Simple things like this are the basis of science, not just saying
that Tariffs will be good for the nation when all recent experience
and by recent experience I mean since the middle of the 19th
Century has shown them merely to be a Sales Tax which the
importers pay but pass on to the consumer.  But every time a
Republican president convinced a Republican Congress to create
Tariffs the Republican Party lost the next election.
	That is not science but observation and people don't enjoy the
Republican experiments with Tariffs.
