I've started having CDROM related problems. One of my computers failed
to shutdown following a problem with the CDROM. I suspect a panic or bug int
problem, so it might be that a bug has crept into the kernel somewhere.
This bug might be triggering a problem that you experience at boot time,
and I experience at shutdown. I am still investigating this.
