One of my computers failed to shutdown following a problem with the CDROM. I suspect a panic or bug int problem, so it might be that a bug has crept into the kernel somewhere. This bug might be triggering a problem that you experience at boot time, and I experience at shutdown. I am still investigating this. Mark. -- Mark Hobley Linux User: #370818 http://markhobley.yi.org/
