In addition to that, just snooping around the web sites of Apache projects and other such exposes you to a whole lot of good code (and some to not-so-good code).  There are a gazillion open-source projects out there.  You have to decide for yourself the worthiness of each.  The best have ample documentation, both operational and Javadocs, wikis, good packaging and other signs of professionalism.
